Smart Grid Transformation Roadmap Seminar - Alcatel-Lucent Utilities today are facing pressure from customers, regulators, and other environmental organizations to deliver on the promise of the Smart Grid. Utilities are making strategic decisions and significant investments to build a Smart Grid intelligent network and to deliver new IP based Smart Grid applications for operations, demand response, customer information and service, and for new services, such as Plug In Electric Vehicles (PHEV's), Micro Grid operations, and energy storage. Join Alcatel-Lucent for a discussion on technology choices utilities are facing when building their core, middle and last mile network. Managing a complex network and maintaining a secure environment as utilities migrate toward IP will also be a major discussion point. This seminar will review a roadmap for building the Smart Grid network infrastructure to support these new services and applications, and will review two ongoing customer Smart Grid network projects for a "real world" view of successful Smart Grid initiatives – OG+E and AltaLink. Please contact Kathy Placke, kathy.placke@alcatel-lucent.com, for details and registration.
